Prebiotics equal a well oiled machine (machine AKA. your body!)

This time we're talking about PREBIOTICS instead. Prebiotics plays a huge role on how our body works like a well oiled machine. Prebiotics substances that come from various types of carbohydrates (mostly fiber) that the human body cannot digest on its own. The healthy bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract utilize them as a food source. 🍎🥦🍓🥒

These types of foods reward the body by producing certain nutrients that will ultimately lead to a healthier digestive tract through the creation of short chain fatty acids (SCFA) and vitamins. 

When probiotics in a healthy gut consume these prebiotic fibers, they turn them into short chain fatty acid by-products. These byproducts support the health of the intestinal tract and have a positive downstream effect on our detoxification systems. 

As you know, you have been eating at least one prebiotic food source daily and this should help explaining the reasons behind the method and why it’s best to educate yourself and learn what kinds of foods are going into your body! Eat up those prebiotics! 🍌🥬🥖🫑
